The AHA has stood up once more for the rights of a student who we believe has been a victim of discrimination. After getting taunted for being gay, Isaiah Smith tore the pages of Leviticus from his Bible in protest. He was suspended not for the protest, but several days later, for carrying the torn Bible in school. According to Smith, administrators told him that carrying a Bible is okay, as long as it wasn’t damaged.
Stand with Isaiah and the AHA in calling for the record of his suspension to be expunged!
