AHA’s Roy Speckhardt and Jennifer Bardi joined a throng of DC humanists, atheists, freethinkers, and free spirits for the Sunday (on a Wednesday) Assembly last night at the Woolly Mammoth Theatre.

Co-founders Sanderson Jones and Pippa Evans put on a great show, with music, sing-a-longs (Queen, Bill Withers), and a wacky group clapping game. Jones inspired with his humor and heart, as did guest speaker John Shook and poet Ronnelle Adams. This was the DC stop for the UK-based Sunday Assembly’s “40 Dates and 40 Nights Tour” and was hosted by the Center for Inquiry.

The dynamic duo will be back in December for another Sunday Assembly at the Washington Ethical Society. Don’t miss it!
